Carla Irwin

Carla Irwin is an affirmative action consultant who specializes in affirmative action strategy, development, implementation, audit support, outreach and training.

After completing law school Ms. Irwin began her corporate career in affirmative action at Zurich North America as an Affirmative Action Compliance Manager. While at Zurich, Ms. Irwin managed Zurich’s Affirmative Action Programs and company-wide affirmative action training.

From there, Ms. Irwin was hired by Office Max as the Director of EEO & Diversity. During her tenure at OfficeMax, Ms. Irwin was responsible for developing and implementing nearly 1,000 AAPs, managing OFCCP audits, conducting training, diversity initiatives and oversight of the applicant tracking system (ATS) for all Office Max locations.

In 2006, Ms. Irwin realized that her education and experience, both as a lawyer and corporate executive, could help other companies identify and capitalize on opportunities to integrate comprehensive AAPs into their existing company structures. In October that year, Ms. Irwin established Carla Irwin Inc. (Cii).

Carla Irwin Inc. is focused on helping companies design, develop and implement affirmative action programs. Ms. Irwin and her team review all aspects of the business environment to provide a customized solution for compliance. Her practice supports clients across a broad span of industries from retail and gaming to manufacturing and technology.

Ms. Irwin holds a BA degree from Southern Illinois University and a JD degree from DePaul University College of Law.

Lori Morenz

Lori Morenz

With more than seven years of Affirmative Action experience, Lori brings a wealth of knowledge to Carla Irwin Inc. Lori has worked in both law firm and human resources environments. Her past roles, both in-house and as a consultant, have provided her with expertise in Equal Employment Opportunity, Diversity and Inclusion programs, and preparation and evaluation of Affirmative Action Plans and their compliance. She has developed training on EEO/diversity policies and procedures and is skilled at AAP/OFCCP audits and reviews.

Lori has also provided guidance to Human Resources staff and leaders on OFCCP regulations involving community outreach and recruitment efforts for veterans and individuals with disabilities. In her spare time, Lori volunteers for several organizations dedicated to encouraging and supporting women’s education.

Catherine Karl

With over 15 years of experience in Affirmative Action, Diversity and HR, Catherine brings a wealth of diverse knowledge to Carla Irwin Inc. Her past roles include implementing multi-level HR practices, learning & development initiatives, and change management programs for Fortune 100 companies and higher education. For many of these organizations, she has developed Affirmative Action Plans, created employee resource groups, and implemented analytical and statistical methodology for HR metrics and Diversity initiatives. Catherine spends her weekends assisting those in need through church activities.
